Rev. Lea Brown Invites You to Worship

Gentle us
Holy One,
into unclenched moments,
    deep breaths,
    letting go
          of heavy experiences,
                  of shriveling anxieties,
                       of dead certainties,

that, softened by the silence,
     surrounded by the light,
                   and open to the mystery,

we may be found by wholeness,
       upheld by the unfathomable,
                  entranced by the simple,
                            and filled with the joy
                               that is you.

Welcome to a new beginning in the life of MCC San Francisco!  I am more excited than I can tell you about our future that lies ahead.

As we look toward the 12 months that lie ahead, I am guessing that we may all be at different places in our lives.

Some of us may have had a wonderful past year.  Others of us may be burdened with recent or long ago heavy experiences, or struggling to let go of stifling certainties that no longer serve us.  And in our world today I am sure that all of us need more deep breaths and unclenched moments when we allow ourselves to be gentled into the healing presence of the Divine.

Wholeness and joy are what we will be creating in the weeks and months and years ahead.

I hope you will choose to worship with the sacred community that is MCCS. Let us explore the hope of all the manifestations of the Divine that we can discover and make real together.

I will be with you in spirit until then every step of the way.

With faith, hope, and love,

Lea
