THURSDAY EVENINGS
AT MCC
Program services will be discontinued after Thursday, January 19, 2006.

LADIES' NIGHT THURSDAY AT MISSION NEIGHBORHOOD RESOURCE CENTER
Program services will continue without interruption at current location in cooperation with Ladies' Night community partners and meals program at Martin de Porres (Martin's).  Meal preparation at MCC will be suspended.  Volunteer coordinator Donna Freeman will continue to work with the kitchen program.  Balance of restricted funding will be transferred to the Women's Community Clinic for disbursement.

FRIDAY EVENINGS
Beginning Friday, February 10, 2006, Simply Supper resumes operation at our temporary location, St. Francis Lutheran Church at 152 Church Street, San Francisco (across from Safeway).  Dinner will be served at 2:30pm, Fridays.  Mothers Kitchen will be serving Vegetarian meals to 60 guests.  The program is on a first come first served basis, those who do not receive one of the 60 tickets will be able to enjoy a Simply Supper bag lunch.

Program services at Mission High School were suspended after December 31, 2005 due to planned renovations and contract expiration. 

Shower Project staff were laid off until resumption of services pending location of a new facility. 

Current city funding under review.  Options include possible alternate use or carryover to new contract beginning July 1st. 

MCF Board Member Charles Lougee leads search for new location.

READ ALOUD PROGRAM -
3rd THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH AT HARVEY MILK CIVIL RIGHTS ACADEMY

Program services continue without interruption.  New volunteer Adrienne Krug has assumed responsibility for the program.

MUSIC PROGRAM -
WEEKLY AT HARVEY MILK CIVIL RIGHTS ACADEMY

Program services continue without interruption.  MCF contracts Stephanie Smith to coordinate/present this program.

PREVENTION POINT
Plans in works to continue program services without interruption.  Volunteers secured to handle purchasing and delivery of non-perishable food items needed for lunch bags.  Volunteers preparing sandwiches are committed to continuing the program with help.  Volunteers staffing the event are committed to continuing the program.

CRYSTAL METH AWARENESS
PROGRAM

Beginning Monday, January 16 and ongoing new Support Group for Family, Partners and Friends of Crystal Meth Users – 8:00 p.m., MCC Chapel

Beginning Wednesday, January 18th and ongoing new Women’s Crystal Meth Anonymous Group – 8:00 p.m., MCC Chapel

Beginning Friday, January 20th and Saturday, January 21st and ongoing new Open Crystal Meth Anonymous Groups – 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturdays, MCC Room 104.
