The Metropolitan Community Church San Francisco
Ready to Get Married?
We are a spiritual community which affirms that you are beloved! We serve as a witness of God’s radically inclusive love as “a home for queer spirituality.”
MCC San Francisco is part of the Metropolitan Community Churches, an international denomination that embraces lesbians, gay men, bisexual and transgender persons, along with their families, friends, and advocates.
We come from a variety of spiritual backgrounds and believe there are many paths to the holy.
We celebrate not only the spirit but also the body as a place where God orthe holy may be found.
Our sexualities and our genders, we believe, are sacred gifts.
We believe ourselves called to nurture one another in our individual and collective spiritual growth. We have proven to be a community of healing for many who previously thought of themselves as alone, unloved, or unholy.
We also believe ourselves called to a prophetic ministry championing the marginalized, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. We work for justice and peace.
We have Christian roots, and for that very reason we want to be for you “a house of prayer for all people” as Isaiah prophesied and Jesus called us to be.
We invite you to visit us for any or all of our services and programs!
The Worship and Praise Team is on Tour
The tour will be life-changing at GALA Festival 8 in Miami, July 2008. Many delegates will hear the welcoming sound of God's voice through our musicians.
Pray for us and help support us! Below are tangible ways you can help us:
- CDs from the Music Department are on sale before and after Sunday services.
- Sponsor a team member. 4 individuals need help with flight and hotel.
- Underwrite a van. We're renting 4 vans and an equipment U-haul to travel from Decatur to Miami. It's expensive!
- Keep us in your prayers.

Rev. Lea Brown Welcomes You to Worship
I am more excited than I can tell you about our future that lies ahead.
I want to begin my time with you by saying thank you once again for giving me the opportunity to serve with you in ministry, and to join with such an incredible community of faith in bringing healing to our world. I truly feel profoundly blessed to be standing at the threshold of a new year and a new life with you.
As we look toward the months that lie ahead, I am guessing that we may all be at different places in our lives.
