Congregational Meeting on Sunday, Feb 19th - Application for Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of Metropolitan Community Church of San Francisco is the local church administrative body and is authorized to provide administrative leadership subject to the direction of the congregational meeting.
The Board of Directors has charge of all matters pertaining to the church's legal organization and incorporation, church property, risk management, and physical and financial affairs of the church. In 2009 the congregation amended its bylaws to set the size of the Board to seven members elected from the congregation and the senior pastor, who is a permanent member. The Board then elects its lay leaders, treasurer, and clerk.
Board meetings take place at 6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month in the Provisional Pastor's office. For the remaining six months of 2011, meetings will be held on July 21, August 18, September 15, October 20, November 17, and December 15.
